Pastor is changing the format of the Bible Study Classes. He will start off the next series of classes at the beginning of Lent. Watch for further information.
Our regular Sunday morning worship service will be changed to 4:00 PM for our Christmas Eve Family Worship. Please join us to celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus.
One of the members at New Day Mary Dawson was honored before the worship service on her 91st birthday. Her family surprised her by each of them presenting her with a red rose. Mary was thrilled. Her grand children and great grandchildren were there too. They sat with the pastor during the children’s moments. It was a lovely gesture for Mary by her family.
New Day entertained members Sunny and Paul at the retirement home where they live. Sunny and Paul were so happy to see the hosts of the tea party. They miss being at New Day very much.
New Day is conducting our stewardship campaign November 5 through November 12. Each fall we designate a period of time when we emphasize stewardship–stewardship in all areas of our lives: our time, our talents and our treasures. This year we are focusing on God’s abundant love for us, our many blessings, how we can share this love with others and our legacy. We hope you will take time each day this week to say, “Thank you, Lord,” for your blessings and examine your heart to consider how you can best share God’s love. We pray you will feel the joy that comes from honoring God with your gifts and join us November 12 for the dedication of our Gratitude Offerings.
What a fabulous, fantastic and glorious Sunday afternoon we had at New Day Church enjoying the concert performed by Mary Rademacher, vocalist; Mark Kahny, vocalist and pianist; and Mark Weymouth, drummer. Everyone had a good time and the church was packed with music lovers. A big thanks to the musicians and to the people who came to hear them. Everyone enjoyed the refreshments at intermission. New Day enjoys being a host.
Just a gentle reminder: Sunday, October 8, 3:00 p.m. Mary Rademacher, Mark Kahny, and Mark Weymouth will perform a jazz concert at New Day you will long remember. They are experts in their field. You will have a great time. The concert is free (but there will be offering plates available to help defray the costs). There will be coffee and treats served during intermission. Not a better way to spend an autumn afternoon. Join us to experience this great event. Everyone invited.
Sunday, September 10, is a special Sunday for New Day. It is called, “Welcome Home Sunday” when we start the fall season. We will have special guest musicians and a potluck meal following worship. All people are welcome to join us.
Come hear our free concert with Mary Rademacher, Mark Kahny and Mark Weymouth on October 8, 3:00 p.m. at the New Day Church-on-the-Hill. (Freewill offering basket will be provided.)
Look for our new signpost. There are some handouts you may take explaining about our labyrinth. Pray you find a spiritual experience in walking it.
